Do you have a “Wine Santa?” I do (top right). He brings me really old Bordeaux every year! Like a kid, I can’t wait for Christmas! 🎄🎅❄️⛄️🎁🌟
Notes from a couple weeks on the 2014 will work, not entirely different. Just a little leaner on fruit & body.
Interesting how it put on some weight the longer it decants.

Black raspberry, licorice, and cola... Finishes hot, rather ripe even for Cali Pinot. Reminds me I prefer higher acid and less alcohol.

Sep 3rd, 2015Overall it is drinking well. Needs to decant for 30-45. Still another 5-7 years left in it.

I find it ripe, but not hot and very expressive. Very satisfying!

2012 - Underwhelmed. Tasted the alcohol - big turn off for me.

This is not the cuvée Katherine. It's the cuvée Natalie. Truly beautiful.
