Haven’t had in a couple years. Other bottle was turning. This is much much better than I remember. Lucious, rich, and full bodied. Full of blackberries, currant, some plum, with a touch of menthol. Quite hedonistic. Easily another 5 years.

Apr 28th, 2018KWN Wine 8. Most everyone else enjoyed, but I came away really disappointed. And it was one of mine. A lot of road tar, but not a lot of fruit. Seemed off balance. Looked up the tasting note; wondering if the wine started to turn or if I had a bad bottle. Have one more so we shall see.

Nice. Way better than the bizarre Chave we sent back. Saved Merck a bunch of money here, which I'm sure is important. No idea how this restaurant earned two stars. Wait staff and sommelier seem very jumpy. Can't imagine why.
