This is a really vivacious and pure CDR. Showing ultra-pure Grenache aromas of crushed ripe raspberries and cracked stone. The nose is more like a high-altitude old vine Spanish Garancha than modern-day flabby and blowsey CDRs. Ripe, intense, and stony in the mouth. Vigorous palate ends savory. A bit of chalky, but fine-grained, tannin and decent acids. Only 13.5% stated alcohol but seems a bit higher based on the peppery finish.
