I usually don’t give points because let’s face it, points are bullshit but given the shade here I feel the need to adjust. This wine has much bang for the buck and definitely speaks to place. When I first put my nose in the glass I thought this was alpine wine. It is. And that’s how it tastes. And it is really tasty. Crunchy red fruit but soft and easy drinking with nice alpine green and spice. Solid. Don’t trust the haters.

A touch awkward on the pop and pour, coming across a bit too green for my taste. Day 3 was better but still very simple. Under-ripened crunchy red fruits with an almost carbonic quality to it. Some pepper and herbs. It paired well with our lasagna but was difficult to enjoy on its own unless it was as an aperitif on a warm sunny day in which it would be a quaffer for sure. Fun wine though and super authentic so I can dig it.
