Estela Armando Vineyard Bonarda
Deep purple in color. Black raspberry, cherry, smoke, vanilla, floral, and leather on the nose. Plum, black raspberry, cherry, and charcoal on the palate. Medium plus acidity and structured tannins. Charcoal and tart cranberry that settles into a dark chocolate bitterness on the finish.

1 person found it helpfulJan 8th, 2021Love this 100% Bonarda from 52-year-old vines. Bonarda is the second most planted grape in Argentina. Surdyks “this wine begins with a bouquet of raspberry, cherry, leather, cedar and a bit of a smoky, damp earth aroma. The wine tastes smooth and is lovely to drink. It’s full of ripe, sweet fruit, more leather and gentle touches of spice and cocoa notes that build on the mid-palate and lead into the dry, long finish. There is perhaps even of hint of a nutty notes.”

Says “fresh raspberry” on the label and that is correct along with a little blackberry and blueberry. Medium tannins and modestly smooth. Haven’t had this before and enjoyed it.
