Clos de la Bousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Best bottle I've had of this wine from any vintage!

Nose screams burg. Fruit forward in the mouth. Good but drying finish. Lovely.

At first, this didn't grab my attention, but with some air, it turned into something outstanding. Deep & rich for a Volnay, but still lithe and elegant. Secondaries and tertiaries all developed nicely. One of the better all-around Volnays I've had.

Drinking well at 32 yrs. Lots of ripe strawberry & cherry, lavender, floral with violets & mineral notes.

Elegant earthy savory. Great wine
