Damn, past its 14 year birthday, showing some green pepper/vegetal notes, slightly barnyard. Not what I was expecting, those are notes for a younger wine. We'll see how this evolves over the evening...
So we're on to a cherry/plum profile now, reminiscent of many Anderson Valley PN's we've enjoyed of the same age. Very nice to say the least, always intrigued by how much a wine can evolve in a glass.
24 hour update: Amazing wine, picked up a beautiful cocoa note over top of dried cherry, wishing we had one more bottle.
