Nose of briny, smokey peat that's on the medicinal side (burnt rubber). Walnut, toffee, black pepper, and perhaps a hint of raisin.
Rich, intense palate of malt, toffee, roasted almond, sea shell, and the classic medicinal, smokey Laphroaig finish. Mixed in the peaty finish is a hint of bacon, plum, and pepper.
Very much Laphroaig but more rounded and with more rich, nutty notes than the 10. Not that fruity which I would expect from the sherry finish, but still delicious.
