Bottled 28 March 2018. Blend no. 42. Season 17/18. Shared by @Bryan Frey for a delicious nightcap and to honor Armand’s passing on 6 March. Just a perfectly balanced, funky, citrusy, earthy lambic. Best before 2038, but there is no way I could get my hands on enough to test that date as they would disappear well before then. — 3 years ago
Balvenie Doublewood 12yr - the nose is light with a hint of wood. On the palate you get a bit more power and a full mouth warmth. Finish gives you more of that wood and heat. It’s a good, easy drinker. Won’t go out of my way to get but wouldn’t feel bad if given a dram. — 3 months ago

Golden amber color. Briny, diluted iodine, smoky, red fruit, floral and herbal notes on the nose. Warm mouthfeel. Hints of sherry and stewed fruits on the palate. — 5 years ago

Not really a whisky drinker, but I can appreciate this Scotch. Very woodsy and dry. Cedar with orange bitters, and oaky vanilla bean. Clean fresh finish, with a long lasting Szechuan pepper tingle and wood chips towards the end. 14 yr single malt. — 2 months ago
