Would never imagine this is a 2009. Still very bright with underripe cherry, rose, and cola; medium body and a little hot but pretty well balanced with some smokiness borrowing the attention. Seems complex but more aggressive (expected at 14%+) compared with some of the Willamette PN we've had lately. Overall a solid pair with a creamy canestri alla funghi.
