Lighter than usual Shiraz, but I love it!

Nov 26th, 2018Solid wine for what is a £5 bottle. Nice ruby colour and berry, vanilla and a very faint hint of fresh apple (for red you say but yes). Smooth with little tannin or spice.
Went nicely with a rump steak with pepper sauce, sauteed mushrooms and a jacket spud.

Very average, a bit of bite. Lacking in smoothness. No discernible notes just a mishmash of dark berry notes. This one is lacking in identity.

Feb 10th, 2018INCREDIBLE VALUE ($5-$7). Delicious, great value. Smells of Syrah, tastes like Shiraz. Fragrant secondary notes of olive when you smell - similar to a French Syrah. Taste is blackberry, dense blueberry jam, plum and is on the fruit forward side. Good balance of fruit and vanilla. Noticeable acidity for a Syrah/shiraz which works nicely. Full bodied mouthfeel. Light and smooth tannin with a hint of vanilla in the aftertaste (and maybe some herbal notes in the aftertaste).
