Beautiful wine. Lots of fruit great color and nice acid. Should continue to age gracefully

1995. Not quite mature in terms of tertiary flavor, but the structure is very much resolved so it's accessible and very drinkable, not necessarily a given with this cuvee. The fruit's mellowed into a supple, mellow Rioja-like profile but instead of feeling autumnal it picks up some minty/pine needly notes, a very fresh type of green. This is a satisfying drink now but for my taste I'd want to hold it another few years and see if some meatier funk is waiting to come out of this, which I imagine isn't far around the corner
