La Dominode Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir

2012 vintage. Black cherry and plum. M acid, body and tannin. Fruit forward, structured and balanced.

I like Burgundies so i am biased. Chalky tart. Plenty of cherries 🍒. Build to last try again in 5 years or so. Limited complexity right now.

2006 vintage. This was probably a little past its prime. Loads of old autumn leaves, stewed red plums, red currant, cranberry, stale spices. Not bad, by any means, just missing some of the prettier florals and elegance that this probably had as a younger wine.
