One of the best, most exciting New World wines I've had in quite some time. Oranges, Maraschino cherries (the artificially red ones, not them fancy ones), and stemmy green notes. Invigorating acid and minimal tannin, but there's still good concentration and weight. Refreshing in a way few New World reds are.

Color resembles kombucha of the red variety. A mashed pale wild strawberry nose with fresh meadow, damp hay as well. On the palate the strawberry gives way to brighter candied cherry with slight numbing spice / clove to buttress the fruit. Incredible to taste a PN in this state of undress. Drink alone. (With people, but prior to food!)

Having this with a homemade Icelandic-style fish stew. Combo works well! Fantastic wine. Gave it some time to breathe and didn't serve too cold but just chilled...seems to help. I flavored the stew with a lot of dill and that goes well with the flavors in this wine.

ultra natural and idiosyncratic Aussie Pinot spotted in NYC. Only tasted half a glass, but I'll be buying this.

Pretty perfumed nose, surprising tomato leaf, but palette drops right off. Funky but not great.
