I like many of Luke's wines and was excited to try this but it's just so bloody tight! I pray this will broaden out as it ages. I gave it a few hours in a decanter and it still wasn't giving much, the nose isn't in any way offensive but feels a little like a not particularly great 1er Cru Chablis that's a bit more matchstick than seashell mineral, touch of Asian pear and bruised red apple fruit, there's a salinity that shows (but that's after more than 24 hours as I put it back in the bottle and tried it the following night. It was still sharp as a button on the palate but very, slight, slender and with well, just too precise, no generosity of fruit, just a 'let's lick a marble kitchen counter' supper sappy finish, taught, over precise. No doubt this will be long lived, many may even like the style but it's a bit too Bonney for me.

2012: fragrant. Lightly toasted, leesy, with a mineral note. White peach, sweet Apple. Good character and elegance.
