M. Chapoutier
Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Côtes du Roussillon Villages Grenache Blanc
An oustanding value as always, the M. Chapoutier Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Côtes du Rousillon Blanc 2015 is an inviting blend of Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Macabeu. The nose fills the bowl of the glass with d'Anjou pear, yellow apple, and flirts with quince aromas. The attack is round and silky, with orchard fruit anchored in moderate acidity and, there is just a touch of minerality and lemon zest showing through—like the edge of a slip—along with this wine's granitic and limestone origins. A nice effort. 8.9 Points

Jul 12th, 2017M. Chapoutier 2015 Les Vignes de Bila-Haut Blanc: Here’s a white blend (Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Macabeo, and Vermentino) from Côtes-du-Roussillon that will not disappoint. It delivers great value year-in, year-out; and can usually be found for under $15. Give it a try if you see it in your local shop (or ask for it if you don't). Cheers!
