Absolutely delicious and in a perfect place to drink, 10 years old. Immediate notes of bacon grease, iron, sanguine, blackberry, and bramble. The acidity provides a medium mouthfeel, nothing too intense, but compliments the dark and red fruit within. Good amounts of pepper too. Definitely a masculine wine.

Wait. Lots of pepper and heat, calmed by the presence of some blue fruit but it was overwhelmed by alcohol and structure and needs time. It should integrate and impress more in the future. The real star here was the nose which really impressed. Unfortunate I didn’t wait longer to taste this, as it could be really really good.
