At first blush, this pretty magenta Cabernet Franc bears scents of a floral garden. Interestingly, there are also hints of blood early on and more so, the taste of blood as well, though this quickly dissipates. Notes of mineral and stone flourish as it begins to breathe. As the wine breathes, cocoa visits the palette, followed by a tart mulberry. This is a pleasant wine paired with eggplant ragout and veal, including pine nuts, capers and marinara. Very satisfying. $13-14
