Jack & Arden put together a wonderful evening of delicious food and great wines, and a few of us attendees contributed some bottles to enjoy as well. Great night!
Dan was in attendance, which means so is a Marcassin! Incredible, especially after the older vintage wines enjoyed before it. The sheer power and acidity here has this still on its way to peak. Blackberry pie, rhubarb tart, & sandalwood on the nose. Lush and flavor packed without being extracted on the palate. Always a treat @Dan Fitzgerald

Earthy mushroom, figs and cherry nose. More extracted strawberries, cherries and leather on the palate. Smooth and silky mouthfeel but could use a bit more acid.

Another 4th Friday for the books! Insane pulls this month to follow up the most epic month (April) that we’ve ever had!
It’s beating the dead horse, but these are just insanely good (though their Blue Slide Ridge pinots are my favorite). The concentration and complexity is what separates these. Acidic on the front palate and the mid palate is Blackberry tart, rhubarb pie, and blueberries. Finish is still tight...years to go.

I loved this wine. Bright strawberries and cola, baking spices and a touch of earthiness to balance it all out. It was full bodied and delicious. Who do I have to thank for sharing this beauty?
