4th Friday of the month means Classic Wine Storage happy hour! Great wines, as always, today!

These older Marcassins sure are something else. Very savory. More popcorn kernel than buttery popcorn. A saltiness to it. Still showing nicely, but the sweet and citrus style fruit has disappeared. Very nice acidity and the structure/texture is impeccable.

Had that metallic flavor that I sometimes get from CA Chards trying to hard to emulate the natural mineral like flavor you get from most white Burgs. I've had great Marcassin Chards but this one wasn't one of them.

Delicious 2006 Three Sisters Chard from Marcassin. Toasted oak with that cream and butter flavors makes this opulent white one of my all time favorites. Tropical fruits explode on the finish. CB

Honestly I don't remember too much about the character of this wine. I do remember this being a wine with decent balance. Definitely drinking well, but overshadowed by the CIX and Peter Michael (both of which were years more youthful). Still quite enjoyable.

Full bodied style showing melon and green apple. Soft buttercream. Superb texture. Mouthfeel that that goes on for over a minute.
