Absolutely nothing Lost in Translation here. A nice aged Tig that unfurled slowly and put on weight and substance throughout the evening. Black cherry, cedar chips and a marked intensity once it hit it’s stride. So plush.

May 22nd, 20162001- a bit funky, meaty, shellac, bruised apple, prunes, plum and earthen. 2001 was again a sensational year for Tignanello after the much hyped 97. Still holds some impressive structure with fine, suede like tannin profile and brisk acidity keeping things fresh. Outstanding length too.
