Deep, dark ruby coloration. Almost black. No translucency. Heavy tearing. On the nose, dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, currant, tobacco, forest floor and florals. On the palate, full body, lush mouth feel, strong minerality, with jammy black currant, anise, pepper, followed by a long finish of chocolate, forever, and hints of mint. Nicely balanced tannins. Tasted blind . Medium deep , garnet core , garnet rim . Quite sweet spiced nose , slightly deeper cherry , riper slightly less fresh . Black tea . On the palate this is deeper and richer , more extracted in style . Darker cherry , blackberry , quite high acidity but slightly drying tannins . This is quite intense and with lots of presence, reasonably long , dry spice , dried dark cherry finish . Really quite young . Needs more time , better in 3-5 years and will last well a further 5-10 — 25 days ago
