Decent Costco value. Wanted more from it. Needed its flavor volume turned from a 5 to a 10. Cherry galore, chalky/dusty earth, and a little leather. Moderate tannins on the gums.

Acceptable. Not nearly as good as I expected. Actually ordinary for a Riserva Chianti. It does have the classic sour cherry aftertaste lingering in your mouth but not for very long. Lots of other Chianti’s taste better and cost less.

A very good median priced Chianti. Acid, tannins (med, med-hi). Inky color, 13.5% alcohol, so bit of a bite. Capable of fighting with strong Italian dishes. Red sauce, frau diavalo. Tobacco, licorice. Good for the price ~$20.
