When you just want to enjoy some wine without overthinking it. Spice and dark berries on the nose and ruby in the glass. Nice and smooth on the palate (just like I like it) with vanilla, leather, black cherry, and dank forest. Pleasant and inoffensive, good stuff for everyday.

2012. This was fairly fat but supported well by acidity and tannin. A great deal at $25 in the restaurant, where we had steak.

Strong, fruitful nose. Good amount of spice, has all indications of great body but doesn't deliver. Kind of a flat finish
