Exotic spice, perfume and sweet wild flowers. Black fruit. M acid and body. M+ tannin. A tiny bit bitter. Earth and black fruit. Even with the 2006 vintage this wine needs a little time. But it's still balanced and would be great with food.

Complex wine with fruity and smoky notes. Apparently the Aglianico only grow in volcanic ash and so basically can only be grown in the southern region of Italy. Need to decant and let it air to get the best experience.

Nov 30th, 2018Surprisingly sprightly for its age. Burnt toffee, lavender and red currants on the nose. Mellow tannis and very fruity on the palate. Finish reminds of teenage poetry, but still good at the price point.
