Not your typical Napa fruit bomb, that’s for sure. As soon as the bottle is popped open, smoke and earth appear. Yes! The ripe red berries are there but don’t take center stage. Definitely full bodied with a certain acidity and quite perfectly integrated tannings for it’s age, maybe a bit of spice on the finish.

Just when you think you’re begging to understand Napa Cab you get this kind of bottle which slaps you on the left cheek, looks you in the eye, and says: “I’m not that, you BMF!” Cheers… Zero connotation to WS and the Oscars.

I saw this on the wine list and rolled the dice after having other Melkas on the advice of @S.R.Alexander . Young, but drinkable. Mostly cabernet. Dark fruit and leather. Medium finish.
