One of my favorite wines from one of my favorite Central Coast wineries, the Clone 115 Indigene is from their Small Lot collection (196 cases of this one produced). Single clone with no innoculation, this wine has an incredible brightness on the nose that one expects from clone 115, but exhibits more earthiness on the palate (maybe because of the wild yeast?) that makes for terrific complexity. Had this wine a couple of years ago and was not nearly as impressed, suggesting that this needed some time to integrate. Sad to see that Greg Brewer is leaving the label he helped to establish, but hopefully Chad Melville can take up the mantle for one of the best pinot producers in terms of quality/cost ratio you'll find anywhere.
