I’ve loved the 16’ bottling, but this magnum shows why 13’ will be better in the long haul.
The restrained nose exudes bouquet of blackberry, cassis, dry herbs, wild mushrooms, graphite, and dark roast coffee. Full elegant body. Rich and dense. Firm tannins start to soften.
This will last another 10-15 years easy.

A good representation of the great 2013 Napa vintage with power and concentration. High tone juicy entry sprinkled with wild mushroom, fig, and fresh herbs. Firm structure has a soft edge. Ample tannins. A bit young still but already delicious.

Could use a small decant. Earthy and hints of cherry as the bottle opened up. Great wine especially for the price point.
