Merryvale Vineyards
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Have tasted 12’ through 16’ vintages for this bottling multiple times, and I like the 16’ the most. Left-bank like but with typical Napa ripe fruit core.
Being from magnum, this bottle tastes very fresh. Long life ahead.

Have tasted the 16’ multiple times and love it every time. This time is no difference. I like this more than the Oakville Grade which costs twice as much.
From magnum. Power and finesse at the same time. Lots of aroma and flavor nuances. Previous notes apply.

This 16’ is just gorgeous, and the most Bordeaux like out of all the vintages I have tasted.

Absolutely fantastic. Smells pretty much like alcohol. Tastes like plum. Very full bodied.

Dec 2nd, 2021This 16’ bottling is actually a left bank blend with 13% Merlot, 6% Malbec, and 4% CF. Fruits are sourced from 3 vineyards, including the famed Stagecoach.
The ripe dark fruits are generous as usual, but seems a bit more restrained. Notes of licorice, leather, anise, and herbal spices too. Warm plush palate with excellent acidity and depth. Fine grained tannins.
This might be my favorite vintage yet for this cab.

Like it a lot. Opens up nicely after a few hours. Great wine in this price range
