Mewstone
d'Entrecasteaux Channel Tasmania Pinot Noir
As previous Delectable notes. Still whole bunch notes with an aromatic red fruited perfume. A luscious texture in the mouth with great length. From the most southerly vineyard in Australia. Typical of the terroir of the d’Entrecasteaux channel south of Hobart. Similar to its illustrious neighbour, Home Hill Estate.

Oct 20th, 2024See previous Delectable note. A boutique style from Australia’s most southerly vineyard. As mentioned previously a very bunchy style - rustic. Only 1920 bottles produced (without fining).

Feb 10th, 2024Mid crimson in colour with a tawny edge. Noticeable whole bunch influence on the nose - a cherry perfume with a note of thyme. More fruit sweet - red fruits than the expected savoury notes on the palate. From the most southerly vineyard area in Australia south of Hobart in Tasmania. Only 1920 bottles made which would all be sold in Tasmania or mainland Australia I would imagine. I love the stalky red fruited perfume. Bought at the Pinot Shop in Launceston Tasmania. Had another bottle 128 weeks later on 9th February 2024 with consistent notes. Lovely bunchy aromas with red and black fruits. A rustic style of Pinot, but sooo good. Still 95 points.
