I could burn for saying this about our esteemed winemaker but it's not my favorite vintage. For napa, this is a little hot and heavy on the dried fruit and tobacco. But I still really like this wine and would drink it all day long. It's exactly as he describes his adorable first born-structured, refined, complex and independent.

Mesmerizing nose of rich, slightly ripe red and black fruits that are unmistakably Napa, licorice, prune, smoked meat, black tea, dark chocolate, dried mushroom, cigar box, all tightly knit together. The palate was equally impressive with warm soft texture and complex layer. The full body is self-assured with power and grace. Velvety tannins still has baby teeth. And the lightly spiced and sweet finish lasts for minutes.
A complete wine at 15 years, but will reach perfection in another 5-10 years.
