I have fond memories of Michel-Schlumberger - my first Sonoma trip! My wife had a work event there. The scenery was beautiful, the wine amazing. Got a winery tour and took a Riedel glass class. That ruined me - totally bought into the right glass/right wine theory. I now have 8 different glasses. The trip and that night were transformative and turned me into the snob I am today.
The wine is silky smooth. Fruit and spice-filled nose, showing blackberry, currant, baking spice, chocolate, and cedar. Lovely.
