2012 vintage. 72 Merlot 28 Malbec. Surprisingly low color concentration, some sediment. Fruit quality starts out in the red spectrum with red currant, red plum, lingonberry, dried cranberry and moves into the darker spectrum with air. A touch of dried herbs, black rocks, smoke, and graphite round it all out. A good wine, but definitely a lean example of these two varieties.
