This is a spectacular wine. I used an aerator to ensure that it was open enough. The flavor is rich, creamy, and complex. There are numerous flavors ranging from licorice to vanilla and dark plum to peach and apricot. Some earth, without any barnyard; a little tannin, a little cedar, but only enough to make it balanced. Drank well with grilled steak and garlic mashed potatoes. Maureen says "dark, earthy notes, smooth and a little tannic. Delicious!"
