Pure velvet, no glove detected. Good, high extraction of pure fruit and layers of jam, berry, beef blood. Powerful meaty nose. Paradoxically this fell off a bit after 1st hr of decant.

Tasted blind, theme was either Napa Cult Wines or High End Australian, not told directly to keep us on our toes.

Deep ruby red with fine sediment. Not as strong on the nose as the prior wine. Layered still with dark floral notes, sweet spices, bramble berries and a touch of caramel in the finish. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and a tad heavy on the acidity in the back end. Medium bodied with an excellent and smooth attack. Notes of dark cocoa, dark red fruits, and a touch of earthiness. Opened up a bit with some stewed dark berries and a hint of caramel. Long finish. Drink till 2024.

Last wine, definitely still an Australian Shiraz, but older than the prior wine. Definitely less than ten years old, but seems close to it. Decanted for two hours, might have been better with one.

Throwback to my formative years. Reminded me why juice became my mistress.

Super concentrated. Purely hedonistic flavors. Rose water, vanilla/toasted oak, jammy but has the dust and umami backbone of Syrah/Shiraz. High octane as ever too.

On the nose, a giant mambo of berries, plums, blueberries, violet, chocolate, vanilla coke, background of molasses.
The palate is thick and extremely chewy, cookie dough, butter, raspberries, caramel, hints of liquorice and lavender. Tannins are pretty well-balanced.
Very long length, pretty endless.
An absolute flavor rollercoaster, decanted two hours earlier but even later it started developing savage bay leaves aromas as the alcohol level was disappearing.
A solid wine that showcases strong potential but it does definitely have a too high alcohol content that puts aside more promises.
