Not bad but not a favorite. More typical of a old world wine.

Porta D’armas , Tinto, Dão is what this says on the label. Pretty color. Liquid ink meets purple people eater. Aroma is floral with violets and iris flowers mixed with berry patch. Very smooth and lighter bodied. Sleek. Silk on the tongue. Hint of blackberry and just a trace licorice/anise in it. Bit of cola. Feels elegant and refined. More of a stand alone drinker due to the softness. It’s kinda Syrah like, but missing the big tannins. Hard to describe. Easy drinker.
