Monte Tondo
Veneto Corvina
2012 vintage. In my 35 years in this business, I have never tasted Corvina bottled solo, so I'm not exactly sure what to expect. This one is very simple, with a slightly floral (violets) nose that at once reminds me of Cabernet Franc but more so of Gamay Noir. On the palate, juicy with minor tannins. In the world of wines, this strikes me as a Beaujolais with a little structure, something to pair with charcuterie.
