2005 vintage. Bricked color appropriate for its age, light ruby going brown, nose of barnyard, red raspberry, and oak. On the palate, fruit is almost absent leaving a funky core which can no longer balance the acid. Vanilla finish. Pity. This bottle is shot. — 9 years ago

So, I'm not going to lie. After 30 years in this business, I just tasted this wine that I've never heard of before. It is a bright ruby wine with juicy plums and candy notes on the nose, followed by a sweet fruit attack morphing into a wave of black pepper and then a lot of dried herbs. Very good acid makes this wine refreshing. Fun and different. Love the black pepper notes. — 9 years ago

This is an off-the-wall wine that is better this vintage than it has been. Crazy nose, funky Kool Aid attack, hints of mint, orange rind, sweet candy. I don't know what I'd pair this with but if you want a conversation starter, this is your bottle. — 9 years ago
