Buondonno Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

Powerful tannins and acidity; cherry, savory; lots of mineral on the nose, perfume of herbs, anise

Slight sulfur on the nose but otherwise fairly closed. On the palate deep cherry plus cough drop, fine tannins provide great structure, good acid, pretty wine.

Everything you could ask for from a Classico. Makes me want to try their riserva. A bargain at $25.
