Dec 4th, 2021A rich crimson red in colour. Cassis , bay leaf mulberry and notes of violets. On the palate black currant, restrained yet sweetish - see notes from a year ago in March 2020. One of Australia’s classiest Cabernets. Not as minty as Coonawarra or as herbal as Margaret River. Commemorates the passing of founder, Dr John Middleton in 2006 as on the label.

Mar 10th, 2021Cassis, blackberry and other black and red fruits. Medium bodied palate with Medium plus intensity. Soft fluid resolved tannins- a little grainy. I have always thought that Mount Mary is the most Bordeaux-like of Australian Cabernets. I think I will drink my remaining 2 bottles in the next 2 to 3 years.
