Mendocino Zinfandel

Tend to like to let my Navarro Zin's mellow a number of years (opened '04 recently) to better match my palate. That said, this was nice. Spiced without being jammy but at this point more weight from fruit than I like. Strictly a personal preference.

Needs to open up. Black cooked fruits without being overdone.

Nice color and aromatic nose. Lovely berry fruit and soft tannins. Acid nicely balanced.

An approachable and balanced Zinfandel with fresh acidity and enjoyable mid-palate finish with well controlled peppery notes. Black currant, black cherry, and a hint of blueberry made this wine a welcome late evening sipper.

Great Zinfandel. Full bodied and crisp.

I will buy this again- great red wine for basic use

Drank this with a recipe called pan fried ham with vegetable and egg (not the best description) but an unbelievable pairing. Can't wait to eat and drink together again
