You find yourself engulfed in smoked venison jerky. Once that blows off, plums, raspberries, rooibos tea, and tar sneak into the mix. Lots of umami stuff happening. It reminds me of the brown sauce you can't stop eating at your local take-out Chinese restaurant. Your mouth keeps salivating. I'm surprised at the softer tannic structure. I was expecting to have my face ripped off, but the tannins show restrain. Acid levels are reminiscent of blood oranges. 14.5% alcohol hides. Pleasantly surprised. #pinotage
