California Red Blend
A nice red blend from the Amici family. Showing black and red fruits with earth, wood, spices, chocolates, tobacco and peppercorn.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry, spicy and better with food.
Good right out of the bottle.
Not fully balanced but has a nice mouthfeel.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
85 points.

Excellent blend, especially for the price. I enjoyed it with food but it was a little much alone. It had a similar finish to apothic red. Nice, but needs something to balance it, like cheese or other food, IMO.

Jul 11th, 2018Ripe fruit, berry sweetness. Plum? Little acid. Definitely a California style, tending towards one note and less complexity or earthiness but enjoyable. K&L wine club $10.
