Dark, glass-clinging purple with magenta highlights. Nose of black- and blueberries. Darkly fruity, full-bodied palate of the same berries plus a bit of that typical PS ashiness. Medium tannins kept in check (as is typical of this producer). Medium acidity (ditto). Finish is surprisingly long for the price point. I must say this is the most varietally typical PS I’ve had at this price point. Not as aggressively tannic as some higher end examples, but that’s kinda the point. Oak Grove makes solid consumer-friendly wines that deliver tremendous QPR. This is no exception. Drink now.

Mar 4th, 2020Great bang for my buck! Probably overly-fruity for some meals, but for the price, this can't be beat.
