Orchard Stand Black Cherry

I took a chance with this wine as I'd never heard of it before, but it was within my budget. I got it at Walmart on clearance normally 8$something, I got it for 4.50. Bargain! It sounded interesting because it was honey wine, which I'd never had, and black cherry, which I've always liked.

The first sip and I didn't taste Any honey, bummer, but OK. Second taste and it wasn't all that cheeryish either, but I didn't have to spit it out, so it wouldn't be banished into the cooking section. As I finished the glass I decided that it was only OK because there was an odd taste I couldn't identify. Maybe some posh wine sniffer with an actual pallet would be able to tell me what it is, but I couldn't. So I'm drinking it with a big question on each glass. Hmmmmm.

May be the worst wine I've almost thrown out. Honey wine? Didn't realize that when the words "black cherry" are popping out. Tastes like a throat lozenge.

I actually had the black cherry flavor. This was a bit different but quite tasteful. It's definitely on the repurchase list.
