I've long loved #Tokaj Aszú 2000s but they've now turned the corner &lose their explosive fruit. Start drinking up.

Balanced sweetness & acidity, great structure, complexity and length. A masterful wine, incredible with soft blue cheeses or a creamy, sweet dessert. Love it.

The wine is clear and bright with a medium amber colour and dense slow-falling legs.

The nose is clean and developing, showing aromas of bottle ageing (honey, baked apple, mushrooms, brioche), stone fruit (peach jam), citrus (orange peel) and hints of fruit development (raisins) and others (nail varnish remover).

The wine is lusciously sweet in the mouth with a high mouthwatering zesty acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a full body with an oily texture. It has pronounced intensity flavours of citrus (orange peel), stone fruit (peach jam), fruit development (raisins, dry figs) and bottle ageing (honey and mushrooms). The finish is long.

It is an outstanding quality wine. It has a lingering finish and loads of flavour concentration that, supported by the sweetness, balance the racy acidity creating a very harmonious palate. It also shows complexity provided by bottle ageing, and the clear typicity of a Tokaji sweet wine.
