Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon

A big boy, this has years ahead of it. Great depth of fruit. Big tannins. Lengthy finish. Still quite a bit of oak tones. Very enjoyable!

Always seems to be a little less aggressive than the mt veeder but always delicious.

This was showing a little of its alcohol tonight (14.8%, per the label), which I haven’t noticed with other O’Shaughnessy cabs. Still, the fruit is fantastic and youthful for a 10 year old Napa cab.

After all the whites the oak really sticks out. Always a winner, and the 2008 is drinking perfectly right now. Medium body with a twinge of tannin left.

Spectacular. O'Shaughnessy never disappoints.
