04' Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red. It closed up soon after opening(little ripe-fruit & tight at first) 1 hour+ decanting. Brick red/dark violet. On the nose red/black fruits. These wines are generally not as approachable in their youth. A few years in the bottle they tend to settle down so very nicely. Black fruits are abundant. It is now elegant and very approachable. This 04' is definitely drinking in it's prime now. I do believe it has another 7/10 great years in it. Edit.... I would decant this for 3 hours.

Stunning brilliance. Big but not inky or oily. Surprised it is so classy.

Ripe black plums and bruised over ripe black cherries. Extremely long finish with firm seemingly new french oak influence. Very tasty!

Fantastic. My parents have been holding on to this for many years, and decided to open this tonight. Great choice!

Intense and alluring. Full bodied and still a baby clocking in at 13 years. Merits additional cellaring as it should develop further. Dark red color. Heavy and thick with black fruits, clove, chocolate, and currant. A slight mineral undertone adds character and rounds it out.
