I was up at my wine locker today and there was a gentleman setting up for a private event. I introduced myself and he was the winemaker for Paradise Ridge. Dan was very kind and opened up this Sauv Blanc for me to try as he told me how their winery was completely burned to the ground by the fires in the fall. They lost their entire ‘17 vintage. Since their home burned down, Dan is taking his “home” to people around the country. Just another reminder that even though the fires are gone, the wineries still are hurting and need your support.
This is all estate fruit. Very pale and balanced SB. Tropical stone fruits, and minimal oak presence...almost non-existent. Yet it still has the backbone that shows it could age. Easy drinking. Screw cap.
