Dark red in color, almost cloudy. Fruit and toasted nuts in the nose. A slight amount of fizz on the tongue with a fresh pour that dissipates after a few minutes. The color and fizz I assume means some post bottling fermentation. On the palate there is smokey red fruit and currant. Finishes nicely with some spice. I've had a lot of Paraiso SLH Pinot in this vintage over the years, and I must confess that it drank better when younger.
